Lemon basil.
Great lemon-mint flavour!
An early ripe variety of basil with a bright lemon-mint aroma: the period from full sprouting to the beginning of the economic shelf life is 45-53 days. Plants 22-26 cm in height, 35-40 cm in diameter, weighing 300-350 g. The yield of greenery is high: 2.3-2.5 kg / m2. Recommended for fresh and dried use as a spice and flavoring additive in various salads, hot dishes and for canning. Sowing seeds for seedlings or in open ground in late May-early June to a depth of 1.5-2 cm. Seedlings are planted in open ground at the age of 50-60 days. Plants need timely watering, weeding, loosening and feeding. The greens are harvested before flowering.
1,0 g = 600-650 seeds.

Eng.: Lemon basil. Bot. syn.: Ocimum dichotomum Hochst., Ocimum basilicum var. citriodora, Ocimum basilicum x Ocimum americanum.

* Growing basil at home is also possible. It is better to start growing this plant in the spring, using boxes or pots. Basil needs nutritious and light soil with the addition of peat. The most suitable temperature for growing is +25°C. Basil should be grown on a sunny windowsill. If you want to get a beautiful, spreading bush, then you should pin the top of the bush.
Since basil does not like excessive moisture, it needs to be watered only when the soil begins to dry out. It is better to water in the morning.
Basil grown on a windowsill is less prone to disease than that grown in a garden bed, however, if you notice “sick” stems, you should remove them so that they do not infect the rest of the plants. Never pick off all the greens (especially at the root of the plant), but simply pinch off individual leaves as needed.
